Session
The Session is the governing body of the Church, and consists of both the Elders, having been elected by the congregation to a particular term of service and the Pastor, who is a member of the Session by virtue of having been called by the congregation, and Installed by the presbytery of jurisdiction, to serve a particular Church. The overall qualifications, gifts, and abilities required of those persons elected to the Office of Elder are outlined in the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (USA) [Book of Order, Chapter VI (G-6.0300)]. The overall responsibilities, structure, and procedures of the Session of the Church are outlined in the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Book of Order, Chapter X. The Elders attend all monthly regular and special meetings of the Session. The Session normally meets monthly and special meetings may be called occasionally, as the need arises.

Deacons
The Office of Deacon is set forth in Scripture as one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ. It is the duty of Deacons, first of all, to minister to those who are in need. Deacons greet and usher at any Worship Service during their assigned months and are responsible for collecting the offering during the Service. They are available for duties pertaining to special services, such as Maundy Thursday, Easter Sunrise, etc., and also are in charge of annual events, such as the Easter Sunrise Breakfast, the Congregational Luncheon to Honor Our New Members, and the “Stop Hunger Now” Food Packaging event. The Deacons have a benevolent committee, which gives direction and aid to the Church family or community where appropriate. Deacons visit members of the congregation and visitors to our Worship Services and perform other duties as requested by the Session.
