Staff
Sarah joined the Hopewell staff on June 10, 2019. She received her Bachelors of Science in Education from Western Illinois University in 2008 and since then has taught in both middle and elementary schools.
Sarah grew up in Illinois where she was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, which is the Swiss branch of the Reformed Church. She has felt a call to ministry for some time now and is excited about using her gifts in ministry at Hopewell.
Sarah and her husband Drew have two children, Gwendolyn and Jonah.
Gail Parks
Administrator
Gail has been a member at Hopewell all of her life. She has served as the Office Administrator since 1997. For many years she taught the Preschool Sunday School class, and was also a Girl Scout leader at Hopewell for 15 years. She has been a member of the Chancel Ringers Handbell Choir for over 20 years. Currently, Gail is a member of the Presbyterian Woman Coordinating Team, serving as the Historian since September, 2011. She also serves on the Cemetery Committee, helps with “Room in the Inn,” and participates in various other Church activities throughout the year. Gail is married and has three adult children. A favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11-13.
Bonnie Montgomery
Bookkeeper
Bonnie began work as Hopewell’s bookkeeper in February, 2016. She works part-time and is normally in the Church Office all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and on Wednesday mornings. Growing up, Bonnie lived in a variety of states with her family. She and her husband, Ross, who is a home inspector, settled in the Huntersville area a few years ago to be near their two children. Bonnie has 10 grandchildren, ranging in age from an infant to 13 years old. She is very active in her church, teaching Sunday School, Kiwanis, Vacation Bible School, etc. When she is not helping with her grandchildren, Bonnie enjoys sewing and quilting and other crafts.
Chris Christine & Mary Tran
Nursery Supervisors
Chris joined the Hopewell Staff as Nursery Supervisor in February, 2016. She and Mary take turns rotating each Sunday to oversee the Hopewell Nursery area during the 11 a.m. Worship Service.
Chris has been actively involved in Hopewell since joining the Church in 2012. She serves as a Sunday School teacher and a Counting Team member, and has participated on the Officer Nominating Committee. During the week, Chris is self-employed as a Certified Public Accountant. She and her husband, Jack have two teenage daughters.
Mary joined the Hopewell Staff as Nursery Supervisor in February, 2016. She and Chris take turns rotating each Sunday to oversee the Hopewell Nursery area during the 11 a.m. Worship Service.
Mary grew up at Hopewell and has been very active over the years, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Deacon, and on numerous committees. She works in the community as a pre-school teacher. Mary and her husband, Hai have two young daughters.

Charlotte DePalmo
Interim Treasurer
Charlotte and her husband Jeff joined Hopewell on April 2, 1995. Since that time, Charlotte has served the Church in a variety of ways, including as a Sunday School Teacher, in the Chancel Ringers Handbell Choir, on the Personnel, Pastor Nominating, and Alternative Worship Steering Committees, and as an Elder. Currently, Charlotte is active on the Count Team, the Finance and Endowment Committees, and is Hopewell’s Wedding Guild Liaison. Charlotte and Jeff have two grown daughters, Kristen and Megan.
