Sunday Morning Worship
Schedule
At 9 a.m., we meet for NonTraditional worship service, in the Family Life Center.
At 11 a.m., we meet for our traditional worship service in the historic sanctuary.
See our campus map for a detailed look at where these buildings are in relation to our parking lot and Beatties Ford Road.
NonTraditional Worship “The Well”
Our nontraditional service offers a worship experience in a more relaxed setting. Music, scripture, and the message are at the core of the service, but there’s plenty of coffee and fellowship mixed in. We’re also ready to welcome your young children with Play-doh and crayons aplenty.
Traditional Service
The 11am service is a traditional service and includes musical offerings by the Chancel Choir and Chancel Ringers Handbell Choir. Worshipers wear anything from full “Sunday dress” to more casual clothes. A time with young disciples is offered as part of this service. During this time, all children are invited to the front of the sanctuary. Children’s worship bulletins and activity bags are also available from the Children’s Worship Cart in the Narthex.
Large print bulletins are available from an usher at this service.
Children in Worship
Children are celebrated at Hopewell. Their presence is a gift from God. In fact, God is the One who put the wiggle in children, so there’s no need to suppress it in God’s house! There are cards in the pews of our sanctuary with tips on how to worship with young children in a way that engages them and helps teach them our worship rituals. All are welcome here!
